PARTS QUESTIONS
Q: Do you sell used upholstery?
A: Sorry we don't carry any used parts.
Q: Where do I find items that you don't list on your website?
A: You could try searching on the Internet, Ebay, picking up a copy of Hemming's Motor News, or looking at ads in any trade publication.
Q: I have a 1946 Ford but all I see for the parts I want are for 1940 through 1942 Fords, will those work on my car?
A: No, they won't. We research all of our parts for what years they apply to. There must be something different with your year car to where this part won't fit it. We can only make kits for those vehicles which we have the patterns.
Q: But I think this part will work. Can't you send it to me?
A: We can send you the part but it will be noted on your order that we advised you it wouldn't work, so you will be responsible for the shipping back if you need to return it along with a possible restocking fee. NOTE: Parts are not returnable if they have been damaged or altered in any way.
Q: What if I don't like the quality of a part?
A: You will need to contact the dealer from where you purchased our upholstery products. They may have specific instructions for product returns.
Q: Are your upholstery items Foreign or US made?
A: All of our upholstery is made in the U.S.A. right here at Mac's Antique Auto Parts and we inspect and watch for quality parts. Top of page TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
Q: Is there a warranty on your upholstery items?
A: We have never issued a warranty and have never needed one. There have been very few issues with material quality or workmanship.
Q: I left a message with your technical staff and they haven't called me back, when can I expect to hear from them?
A: Unfortunately we have a very small tech staff. Our technician answers calls and emails in the order of which they came in. He should be getting back to you shortly.
Q: Can I replace my upholstery myself?
A: Possibly. Installation of upholstery kits requires the removal of seats from car, and all the old upholstery. The different pieces require different methods of installation, gluing, hog rings or integral clips, or combination of several methods may be involved. Usually the installation of complex upholstery is best left to professionals. Most of our kits are fairly simple to install with only a few special tools (for example hog ring pliers). If you have doubts about your skills, please consult a professional upholstery shop.
Q: Should I replace the upholstery with the same material?
A: Usually yes. Most automobiles retain more of their value when original type materials are used in restoration or repair.
Q: Is the material mildew resistant and does it fade easily?
A: The fabrics we use are not mildew resistant and we recommend that customers keep their cars from getting wet on the inside. The materials have passed a light-fastness test and should not fade.
Q: What is the normal lifetime of the material?
A: This is dependent on the use and treatment of the upholstery. Our kits should last 15 years if taken care of. Top of page SAMPLE CARDS
Q: How long will it take for me to get the sample cards I ordered?
A: Most of our customers see their samples in about 10 days.
Q: Why doesn't your sample look like what is in my car?
A: While we try to match our materials as closely as we can to the originals, there are many reasons why colors/patterns will not be an exact match to your old upholstery. Over the years, your interior can fade due to exposure from the sun. Top of page DAMAGED ITEMS
Q: I received my package today and something is damaged what do I do?
A: Please call our toll free number and speak to our Customer Service Representative or send an email to customerservice@cartoucheupholstery.com. We will advise you of the proper actions that will be taken. Top of page RETURNS
Q: How do I return an item?
A: Fill out the yellow return form that came on your box in the packing slip and include a copy of the invoice in the box with your return. The address of where to return the item(s) is on the form.
Q. I returned parts and I want to know when I will receive my credit?
A. Credit is normally processed in about 7-10 business days from receipt of package. Top of page INTERNET ORDERS
Q: When I place an order, why does it take me to Mac's Antique Auto Parts / Parts 1-2-3?
A: Mac's Antique Auto Parts is our parent company. We share their online ordering system (hosted by Parts 1-2-3.com).
Q: How long does it take to get an Internet confirmation when placing an order?
A: Your order confirmation should be delivered to your email almost instantly. If you did not get one then it most likely means your order did not go through. An invoice will also be e-mailed after the order is shipped Top of page PAYMENT AND SHIPPING
Q: What are your payment and shipping methods?
A: We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Diners Club. You can also mail in your order accompanied by a personal check or money order. There is also the option of COD, which will require a money order or bank certified check for the UPS driver. COD's cannot ship by air and anything coming directly from the manufacturer cannot be shipped COD. Paying by check authorizes MAC'S Antique Auto Parts to send the information from your check electronically to your bank for payment. Your account will be debited in the amount of your check and the transaction will appear on your bank statement. You will not receive your cancelled check back. A: We are about 20 minutes east of Niagara Falls, New York.

A: We love to find companies who want to make money reselling our upholstery products. Wholesale prices are discounted off the prices listed on the internet, depending upon your volume of sales. We offer sample cards, credit card billing and a wide selection of fabric choices. To become a wholesale account you need to fill certain requirements - email or call us for additional information.
