Prepare to see of just exactly what Ford's 302 engine is capable of! Original Ford 302 blocks are hand-picked by experts for this upgrade to Street Performance. This upgrade includes major performance components like a performance camshaft designed for hydraulic flat-tappets, hypereutectic performance pistons that are especially resillient to high-heat conditions, a Melling oil pump, and adjustable double-roller timing components. The factory Ford iron cylinder heads are also used on this engine. In addition to the major performance components, this engine also features those just-as-important considerations of a proper performance upgrade, such as Clevite bearings, (both rods and mains) Durabond cam bearings, Federal Mogul gaskets, and brass freeze plugs. Additionally the intake and exhaust valves have had a 3-angle performance valve job performed. This process grinds two additional angles on either edge of the seating surface of the valve. This removes unnecessary material that otherwise obstructs the fuel-air mix, while maintaining the valve's perfect seal when closed. This results in a dramatic increase in airflow.
