These PerTronix Flame-Thrower plug and play billet distributors with Ignitor II® module have a precision CNC machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum housing that is lightweight yet strong. Polished billet aluminum housings provide the option to brighten up the engine bay. Upper ball bearings and lower bushings reduce vibrations at higher RPMs. Each one is equipped with a vacuum advance lockout that allows removal of the vacuum advance for hardcore performance and racing applications where fuel economy is not a concern. The lockout device stabilizes the timing and allows the mechanical advance to operate properly and produce more accurate ignition timing. There are even fully adjustable mechanical advance spring and limiters to tailor the advance curve. PerTronix electronics are compatible with any inductive ignition system coil, but high-RPM performance can be improved when they are used with the low-resistance (0.6 ohm) Flame-Thrower II coil. Their stand-alone design makes them plug-in units that require no additional ignition, but they are compatible with multi-spark CD ignition boxes for outstanding versatility.
