This is a rebuild kit for the 4 barrel carburetor sometimes referred to as a Teapot or Firebox. These Holley carburetors got the Firebox reputation because of the fires that resulted from fuel leaking outside the carburetor. With proper rebuild methods this kit will make your Holley 4000 perform like new, and will greatly reduce the chances for leakage. It is designed to withstand today's harsh fuels.NOTE: There is also the 2140 version that looks very similar to the 4000, which was used on the 1953-54 Lincoln. The Holley 4000 used a vacuum operated secondary, while the 2140 used a mechanical secondary. Make sure you have an original Holley 4000 before ordering this kit.
