The front edge of a hood was a risky place for Ford to put an aluminum molding on a daily-driven car. Sand, stones, and the elements all worked together to make a very prominent piece of trim look bad. For that reason not many original hood moldings are worthy of a '64 Galaxie, Country Squire, or other full size Ford in today's world. Luckily we commissioned a very high quality replacement which will be worthy of any '64 big Ford from nice daily drivers to serious car show contenders.
