The original battery trays in V8 Falcons and Rancheros wouldn't accept group 24, 24F, or Optima batteries without modification, and often the results are less than ideal. This tray will fit like Ford designed the car that way, and it is completely reversable. Just store your original tray and you always have the option of going back. In the meantime you will have your choice of easily available batteries that are powerful enough to get you going in all conditions. A hold-down is always recommended, and this tray works with most universal versions. It is coated to protect the steel, but we recommend putting a good coat of paint on it before you place it in service.
