Standard engine paints are too thick for radiator use because they can interfere with heat transfer, and block air flow between the cooling fins. They also tend to flake off radiator tanks. Radiator Black helps solve this problem. The durable enamel formulation resists temperatures up to 300ºF, gasoline, and chipping. One can covers 6 square feet (most radiators require 2 cans). Just make sure your radiator is clean and dry, has no flaking paint, and no oil on the surface. Several thin coats followed by a final thicker coat will result in the best finish. Don't put too much on the fins as this can limit your radiator's natural air flow. The quick-drying formula will limit the time you will have to wait to reassemble your ride. We also have a gloss version of this same paint.
