When Henry Ford positioned the muffler just below the floorboards, he created a problem all too familiar to Model A enthusiasts. With nothing to deflect the heat, the floor can become unbearably hot on a long Summer tour. Now your car can have the same space age technology used by many NASCAR teams to protect their drivers from intense heat and noise. KoolMat® is a high temperature composite insulation, consisting of densified silicone cured directly into the surface and a weave of a fiberglass mat. KoolMat® will not separate, tear or easily puncture. This KoolMat® kit includes enough material to cover the front floor on Model A coupes and roadsters, and the front or rear floor on sedans (order two kits to cover both). You can use the floorboards for a pattern, butt the individual pieces together, then run a bead of the included silicone to create an effective heat and noise barrier.
